          Safe Start for Team Amersham

Calling all members of Team Amersham #AmFam.
Together we need to raise funds to make sure we can achieve a safe return to school in September.  We need to install hand sanitisers, temperature screening and work space protection as a basic minimum to make sure that we can protect each other whilst we ‘Live, Learn and Succeed together.’

Sadly we do not have money in our budget to cover the cost of these necessary items - we are relying on your generosity.  All donations are welcome - no matter how small.

Our school site is uniquely challenging, but we are a fantastic team and I am certain that we can make anything we set our minds on possible!

          ***PRESS RELEASE ***

Amersham School is one of the highest performers in England, winning national awards!

Amersham School has been recognised nationally by receiving prestigious awards for their outstanding key stage 4 results last year. The awards are based on 2019 data provided by the Department for Education and Teachers network. Amersham School was found to be among the best performing non-selective secondary schools in the country, receiving two awards for being in the top 20% nationally for attainment and for being in DfE Band 1 for student progress at key stage 4. The SSAT Educational Outcomes database compares all state-funded schools in England and the highest performing schools in a range of key measures are awarded SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards.

Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said:

"Congratulations to Amersham School on winning two SSAT Educational Outcomes awards. This success is down to the superb learning and teaching, outstanding support and inspirational leadership of students, staff, parents and governors. You have made a huge difference to the lives of the young people in your school. Thank You"

           Mrs Jarrett, Headteacher said:
